Contact Industries' fire-rated wood door frames allow architects, designers and contractors to comply with the strictest of fire ratings without compromising aesthetics. Our fire-rated frames will achieve U.S. Standards for 20- 45- 60- and 90-minute fire ratings, as well as British Standards up to 120 minutes.

The frames utilize a patented composite design that can be wrapped in a virtually unlimited assortment of hardwood and softwood veneers, as well as paint-grade and high pressure laminates to match doors, casings and interior trim. The frame design incorporates intumescent material in the frame itself, offering significant costs savings while maintaining the wall system's ability to achieve required fire ratings.

Contact fire-rated wood frames have been accepted into the New York City Department of Buildings Materials and Equipment Acceptance (MEA) program.
